Svepol and Ecoplast Honored for ESG Achievements and Exemplary European Practices

Svepol JSC and Ecoplast Fiber JSC received prestigious awards from exporter.bg – the platform dedicated to successful exporters, during the “Exporter of the Year 2023” ceremony, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.

Svepol JSC was awarded the Crystal Prize for ESG Achievements 2023 – a newly established distinction recognizing companies that demonstrate strong business results while integrating sustainable development practices. The award acknowledged the company’s exceptional combination of high performance and long-term commitment to environmental, social, and governance responsibility. With an annual turnover nearing BGN 400 million and a team of fewer than 50 employees, Svepol has invested in advanced production lines to achieve 100% recycling and zero-waste manufacturing. The company has implemented energy-efficient technologies to reduce its carbon footprint and is preparing to expand its portfolio with recycled polymers from 2025. In addition, Svepol has created over 130 jobs in economically vulnerable regions and has introduced comprehensive ESG risk assessment and management processes. It is also the first company in Bulgaria to use 100% plastic waste to produce a fully environmentally friendly product.

The award was presented to Ms. Antoaneta Dineva, co-founder and Member of the Board of Directors of Svepol JSC.

Ecoplast Fiber JSC received the Special Award for “Best European Practices in Export for 2023”, in recognition of its innovative contribution to the circular economy and high compliance with ESG standards. The company produces synthetic fibers for the automotive industry entirely from recycled plastic waste, significantly reducing both material waste and carbon emissions. Ecoplast maintains full gender equality in its leadership team with a 1:1 male-to-female ratio, ensures stable employment in the regions where it operates, and invests in employee training and development. The company is ESG-certified and holds the international Global Recycling Certificate.

The award was presented to Mr. Radoslav Pashov, Chief Financial Officer of Ecoplast Fiber JSC.
